Back from thanksgiving in South Carolina. It was differant than it has been in a while. Of course, we usualy don't make it there for thanksgiving, but it was differant than Christmas usualy is (which, I guess christmas and thanksgiving are usualy fairly differant from each other, but I mean, the whole getting together with family for meals thing) Differant because this is the first thanksgiving since my grandfather died. I was closer to him because one, my father's father died when I was much younger, and two, I just had more in common with him. My father's father was a farmer, worked the land all his life. My mom's dad was an engineer and into computers, wood working, and houseplants. Anyway, I wasnt' so much sad, as just it was differant to me.

I'm glad to be back now though it was good to be there. I'm tired and have a cold now and I am ready to drive back to my apartment tomorow (I'm at my parents) and then be home again, since that, at this point, is home to me more than this is. Simply because I've spent more time in Hattiesburg since the fall of '98 than I have anywhere else.

So, tomorow I go home, relax, then sunday I sing with Carpenter's Wood at FBC Hattiesburg and sunday night is the hanging of the greens service at my church. In just three sunday mornings the choir at my church will do our christmas program, the friday before that will be the program at the school. Both, I think, will go well, better than last years which at the church wasn't a disaster, it will just be better this year, and at the school it was a disaster. :)
