Beyond this point...

(Note: This was not edited, I saw the sign like that.

Weekends suck when you have no life.

Argh! Thunderstorms have been foretold forecast for tomorrow. I had been planning on going out and doing some photography. Ah well, looks like that idea has been nixed. It'll be a couple of weekends till I'll be free now. Next weekend will be Evensong rehearsal for church and the weekend after that will be opera staging.

Here are some pictures of my crazy dog laying on my desk next to my computer. My desk is right against one side of my bed so it's easy access for her. Crazy Goldie! :) I love her!

Oh, and it has to be just platypi007.net or www.platypi007.net or http://platypi007.net or http://www.platypi007.net. The subdomain blog.platypi007.net won't work until I get my hosting account back. Neither will any of the other subdomains from the old site. Also if you need to contact me via e-mail use platypi007 at hotmail dot com for now.

Checkin to see if this Photobucket thing works so I have a place to host images for now.

No word yet on when Platypi007.net will be up again. I talked to Billy last week for a short bit and he said he was aware of the problem and would look at it soon. But Billy is a busy man. (I'll give you a gold star if you know that one.)

Opera is going, tonight will be the second rehearsal. Fun stuff, and I don't even have to go to Augusta to rehearse -- rehearsals are right here in my own hometown of North Augusta, SC at my grandmother's church! Not that Augusta is far.

ACS is going, Good Friday concert coming up and that will close the 05-06 season since our May concert was superseeded by Chanticleer coming to town. Apparently one of the founders has Augusta connections from conversations I overheard at last week's ACS rehearsal.

Church is going, Easter Evensong is coming together nicely. Only two rehearsals left for that one.

Work is going. I am enjoying it for the most part (aside from the papercuts that plague my hands these days). Thursday I got to train with Larry (the boss) on the mail printing equipment for our directmail stuff. The owner of the company that sold it to us was in town. I got free lunch out of that deal and I didn't have to do my usual duties all day. Good stuff.

I also learned how to use it. Larry tends to start throwing paper on the floor when he can't get a machine to work right and just gets more and more frustrated and things go more and more wrong as this progresses. Having someone there who a) isn't like that and b) knows how to make it work really well, helped me out a lot.

Masters is this week but traffic shouldn't be bad for me. I don't have to drive through that part of town much to get to anything or for deliveries.

Today I spent most of the day out delivering. I drove like 15 miles west of town for one and 15 miles south/south-east for another and all the way from one side of the metro area to the other in between. Took me like 3 hours. I listened to all of This American Life, Studio 360, and whatever was on after that on XMPR.

My school stuff... Not going right now. I know that I won't be going this fall, and don't know about the spring. The spring is a small possiblity and the next fall is one too. I have become a little less sure of my direction once again, too. Musicology and lib-sci are looking good to me.

Also there's this issue of direct ministry... Is God calling me into some form of missions? I know I could probably use either of the routes I've considered in missions, somehow. I dunno. Still in a holding pattern of sorts waiting for guidance.

For now, I have set my domain to forward to platypi007.blogspot.com so you can get here with platypi007.net or that address. It'll take a little bit for the DNS servers to update the info for that forward. Knowing how things work as soon as that update is done Billy will have gotten my account working again and I'll have to change the DNS settings again and there'll be another changeover period! Ha.

Odd, blogger is requiring one of those silly nonsense random letter image verification things to POST an entry now...
