Read this and you'll go insane

So... In less than a week I will no longer be living in Hattiesburg. Thursday my folks will come down and we will load up my stuff, drive to Butler, and unload. Saturday night I'll be back here for the night so I can be at church Sunday, and then after church Sunday evening I'll traverse to Butler again to live.

I still have so much packing to do....

I did, however, have one good thing happen from the packing! I found a money order I bought over a year ago for $151 and never sent to whoever I was sending it to and never filled it out. So it is now filled out to me. :)

Today I went to church for our "dress rehearsal" of the Christmas program. The choir didn't show up but it gave us a chance to iron out the kinks in the order and such, and I copied all the hymns out and put them in my folder along with blank sheets for the solos and such, so I can keep track. And then I had to get back to the 'burg for 2:30 to practice handbells. Now I'm doing nothing.

Yay for nothing! I'm going to go shopping soon and buy the stuff to make pumpkin cookies for the lunch at church tomorow. Mmmmm pumpkin cookies. They are yummy.

Well, it turns out the OTHER capacitor was gone out ALSO... So the organ still does not fully function. I just ordered the second one though and I expect it here by Monday. I need to remember to go to RadioShack and buy another box of fuses, though.

Well, well, well! About 15 minutes ago there was a knock at the door and it was the UPS man with my capacitor! That's the one for the organ amp that broke the week we got the organ. So I screwed it in and put a new fuse in the amp and plugged it in. After 30 seconds the fuse was still good! So, tomorow I will take the amp up to the church and plug it up to the organ and see how things go! The capacitor is rated 25 volts higher than the one in there, but the lady at Mouser said that was fine, it's rather like putting a higher rated speaker on a lower rated amp, it actually just provides a bit larger buffer zone before things blow up. (If you don't want to blow out speakers buy ones that are rated at a higher wattage than the amplifier that you are using and you will never have to worry about blowing them out with too much power. Apparently, buy a higher voltage capacitor than you need and it's the same idea. We'll find out if it works!) I'm excited!

The part was only $8, and I paid about $4 for shipping. Great deal, really. I'd seen them listed as high as $20. And that was places that sold in bulk! Also I ordered it friday afternoon and it shipped out by the end of the day, got here in four days!

Oh, and if anyone should be needing any electronic components you should check out Mouser Electronics. Of course most of the people who I know read my blog don't use the sort of stuff they sell there.

So I just got a call from Mr. Mike Springstead. He invited me up that way to sing with the community Messiah preformances. I'll drive up to Columbus to get there at about 4 and then we'll sing at six and I forget the later time. But it's two preformances. Sweet action. I saw it last week and I'll sing it this week! Dang... My score is at home though I believe... I should probably buy a new one anyway as mine is in terrible condition. I need to go to Wolfe Gang's tomorow anyway to look for a piece for my church Christmas program on Sunday.

Go see my wishlist at Amazon.com. I just got through making it. :D

So... I don't think I'll eat the red beans and rice I just heated up. It's just over a week old but it has a slightly funky smell to it... And everything I find online says sausage and soups and rice all only keep for like 3-5 days in the fridge... Moo eh.

Speaking of moo eh. Over the course of the past few days in various chatrooms and message boards I have seen about 10 people say "moo". As far as I knew there were only two people who used to say this, myself and Pleadian, and the moo started with me, the eh with Ple. So I have to wonder, did I have a hand in starting these other people, people whom I have never seen before the other day and who don't know me, in their saying of "moo"? Did I start a mini-trend that is just NOW, seven or eight years later, starting to pop-up in other places on the net? Curious.

I got home from church and Steph and Drew had just started watching Pirates of the Caribbean, which Chris apparently has bought sometime in the past few days. Well, I decided that instead of going to the store I'd watch it! Pretty good movie really. I mean, not the best film-making ever, but it was entertaining. And much better than the free movie I saw friday night! But it was still a free movie and thats never too bad, unless of course it's something terrible like... I dunno, some terrible movie.

It's funny though, Drew had mentioned how he had fallen asleep durring this movie every time he had seen it and Steph said that there was no way she could sleep durring it. Well, right now drew is asleep on the couch and Steph is asleep on the floor. Can't sleep durring it, eh? :)

So now I should get up tomorow and buy groceries. Get up as in, before noon. :) I should probably get up before noon anyway, eh?

Note to everyone: Don't keep coat hangers on your floor. It's just a bad idea all around.

Ah, blogger is back up, good.

So, I have a sick fish. He's been moping around in the corner for about two weeks now, not eating when I feed the others or anything. He didn't have any other signs of anything being wrong untill last night. His gills were red and a little swollen and he moved over by the filter return.

So today I set up my hospital tank for him (it's a one gal tank with gravel filter that I keep around for quarentine of new fish, hospital purposes, nursery purposes, and for when I do a full cleaning of the big tank.) and put in a little bit of aquarium salt to help him to heal. He is already seeming much happier, I hope he will recover well.

I also did a 50% water change in the main tank, just to get anything out of it that may have caused this to happen. The other four fish seem quite fine though, even the one thats the same kind as the sick one (black skirted tetra).

Well, I did get to sleep this morning about 4am when the neighbours finally turned off their music.... And got up at 9:15 this morning. I'm sleepy.

Church went well though. The service worked out well and tied into the sermon. It's always nice when that happens even when we havn't planned it! I did some tweaking on the high and low range volume on the organ wednesday and it sounded better today. Also friday I got the capacitor ordered at last for the other amp, so we will have all three chans back and the low will feed to the low speakers only like it's supposed to do. Good stuffs.

Today I planned the order for the Christmas program next Sunday which will consist of two Choir anthems, a few solos, some fiddle playing, the children singing three numbers, and a couple of congregational songs. I need to design the program still but that shouldn't take too long. I also have roughly planned the morning service for the 21st, and will add in some stuff for the evening and be done with my last two weeks of planning at this church.

Packing has not gone well at all. Actually... I havn't done any packing since the second day I worked on it. It's just been a mess strewn about my room since then. Tomorow I must get on that! Nothing else is going on much untill I move except for Christmas program at the church (I need to figure out what I'm going to cook for the pot-luck that afternoon!) and playing with the handbell group from Carey at the Church of the Nazaren.

My time in Hattiesburg is winding down...

After the Christmas program aturday night I went to a movie with Nathan Dodd and some of the theatre people. Nathan and I got in free because he knows the manager at the theater. I was glad I didn't pay money to see Elf. If you really want to see it wait untill next Christmas and trick someone into renting it so you don't have to pay money to see it. I wouldn't pay anything to see it. It wasn't terrible or anything, it just wasn't good. Very little made me laugh. There was ONE section that was a bit spoofy of the Ring Wraiths from LOTR, and that made me laugh. But that's really all. Jimbo, however, laughed at quite a lot, quite loudly. That, at least, was funny.

Alright, well enough boring details about my life. I'm going to take a short nap before I head to church!

I WANT TO GO TO SLEEP BUT THE IDIOTIC UPSTAIRS NEIGHBOURS ARE PLAYING RAP LOUDLY!!!!!!!!! I HATE THEM SO MUCH I WANT TO GO UP THERE AND STRANGLE THEM!!!!!!
