So I'm going to be calling the opera people on Monday to see if I can audition. Woo, fun. So i've been going through my voice music (which I had to find first, I thought all my music was out on my music shelf that I made when I got my bookshelves in this room, but some of it wasn't, it was in the expanding file I put it in when I organized it last year. Also I found my Songs and Dances of Death which I had been looking for for quite some time now because it's fun to sing and I wanted to sing through some of it for fun. Sweet action!) to find something with which to audition. Becca said they stopped her after like two lines -- they just wanted to hear her voice. Seems when they find someone who has a music degree with a voice concentration they jump on it. :D

Anyway, I've narrowed it down to an Italian aria, "Di Provenza il mar" from "La Traviata" or the first song from Schubert's Die Winterreise, "Gute Nacht".

I'll sing through them for real tomorrow before work I guess. I miss having a music building with private practice rooms for that sort of thing... I guess you can't sneek into the music building at good ol' WCC at 2am anymore, though, now that they have those card reader locks on the building.

Posting from work -- i'm evil!

Just had to, though, because I am working on... karaoke night.... Save me from this....

If I could pick a song and sing it? Welcome to My Nightmare by Alice Cooper -- because that's what this is. IT should be over in 1.25 hours, though... Then an hour til we close. Yay.
