So a few weeks ago the house next door went up for sale. The Terry's have lived in that house since before my grandparent's built this house and now Mrs. Terry is moving to Florida to live with her son.
So my parents looked at it, interested in being next door to my grandmother as she gets older and interested in being in a house that won't cost so much to keep up, and interested in having the girls in a better neighbourhood.
They were asking $155k and my dad offered $130k, splitting closing costs with them. The countered $142k, and dad countered $135k. Today they countered with $135k and my parents paying closing and mom and dad think they will take that.
So thats cool.
It's a good deal smaller than their house, but their house is much larger than they need.
In other news: Opera is over and done with! It went very well and I enjoyed everything very much as I usualy do. Looking forward to Man of La Mancha in the fall.
