My family is in town now, tonight we are having dinner at the church (sans Becca, she will be working) and tomorrow morning he preaches and they vote. I'll be at First Pres singing in the choir and then at lunch with my boss and Becca discussing managerial things since I am now officially a manager at R. Gabriel's!
So after our lunch I'll find out if my family will be moving down here or not (the committee is pretty certain it will be a deal).
Friday night (well, Saturday morning) Mike Springstead will be getting into town (1am) and then Saturday I'll go with him down to Savannah and a wedding for people whom I do not know, but what promises to be a very beautiful church (and a city I haven't been to since I was a wee lad). Sunday will be spent with Mr. Springstead and my sister, until she goes off to Columbia to see a concert and he returneth to Mississippi, from whence he came.
A week after that I intend to spend my Saturday evening at a They Might be Giants concert in Atlanta. R0x0r!

3am. Just got home from Atlanta 10 minutes ago. What an awesome concert it was.... All three acts rocked, and flowed right into each other with no changeover time. A thousand times better than the New Orleans concert because of that.
The weed was not QUITE as bad, either, as the ushers kept yelling at everyone to put out their "cigarettes". There was some, though, and it was the worst smelling canabis that I have ever smelt, to be sure. It smelled at first like the reek of someone's shoe when it has trod on dog crap. Then it proceded to smell like butt for the rest of the night. Man... Usualy it's not so nasty smelling. These guys had some bad weed, methinks!
In other news, I called the Mike of Roderick today to see how he is doing and talked to him for about an hour. For those who may want to know, he's gotten moved into his dorm room in Boston and has been through the week of orientation and registration. Wednesday he starts classes. He passed the theory exam (of course) but failed (somehow) the classical part of the history exam. So after he takes a graduate seminar on Mozart this fall he will take remedial Classical music history. Ha! He was in a practice room (of course) when I called.
He said his roomie has an interesting taste in music, including much anime sound tracks (He's a big anime fan, too, which should be interesting for Mike. He likes Inuyasha. At least I have something in common with him!), Mariah Carey, N'Sync, and Britney Spears... Mike has begun trying to re-educate his musical tastes. He plays viola or something (can't remember which, but I'm pretty sure it was a stringed instrument) and is a graduate music student so this odd musical collection is real confounding to Mike, and to myself.
He said the Dylan/Nelson concert was great (of course) and that there was much smokage of the weed there.
Ummmm... That's about it. He should be getting online sometime soon, when the computer labs open, and hopes to e-mail people. Maybe he'll post to his blog also, I don't know.
Goodnight now!
