The plans for today were as follows:
Change the front brake pads on my car
Change Becca's oil
Sand and prime the rusty spots on becca's car.
Go to choir practice at First Presbyterian, Augusta.

What got accomplished?

I made my back hurt and aweful lot and have new brake pads AND callipers on my car...
The brake job was WAY more trouble than it should have been, but judging from the wear on the passenger front pads, it was a good thing to do... I just didn't intend to rebuilt the callipers. And then I found out it wasn't going to work rebuilding them with the tools and abilities I had, so I bought new ones instead...

In putting the old ones in the back of becca's car to take them to Autozone to get the new ones and turn in the old ones as core the fussy hatchback on her car slammed down on me. I was standing in such a way as to allow the latching mechanism to slam RIGHT into the MIDDLE OF MY BACK. Ouch. So after I walked that off for a while I got the parts. Every other time I put anything in or got anything out of the trunk I was very, VERY cautious...

Anyway, the brakes work now. Becca helped me bleed the system... Unfortunatly I didn't get to her car and it was too late for choir. And now my back hurts like CRAZY, one from just the working bent over so long, and also from the sharp blow to the middle of my back. Eek it's going to feel GREAT in the morning! Yes sir! And I gotta be at work at 6! :D

Pray for me... :D

Tomorrow's nap is going to be much looked forward to.

Oh, and I had to buy two sets of pads because the 1990 honda had two different models, and there's no way to tell which one you have except by seeing what parts you have. So I bought both sets intending to return the one it was not. Well, I made two trips to Autozone since I found out and I havn't returned them yet dangit...

I have decided that I will start using the web and HTML to it's fullest extent (in a simply information presentation way, not all out multimedia and typesetting. In it's earliest form (I bet you didn't know that the idea for the world-wide web dates back at least to the 1940s) HTML was none of that and was used mainly for basic text formating and for hyperlnking documents together). That means you'll be seeing a lot of links in my posts. You don't have to follow them, but they are there. Most of them will have to do with what is being talked about. I will also start doing this in comment pages for people who do not use Reblogger (reblogger intreprets anything with HTTP:// before it as a link on it's own, with the link as the linked text, very distracting, the inline method is very similar to footnotes in a book, linking things to a source or something like that).
