Mmm shaving cream. It's been about a year now since I started shaving with a safety razor and brush/shaving cream and I had to order another tub of the cream. I stuck with the same sandalwood cream from Taylor of Old Bond Street since I know for sure that I like it. Anyway, I opened it up and it smells so good.

I need to remember to scoop it out with a finger onto the brush instead of dipping the brush into it -- my old tub got watery from the water in the brush bristles.

Yes, I know that no one at all cares about this post, shut up and let me enjoy the smell.

So Nutella apparently goes... stale. I don't eat a whole lot of it but sometimes I like it with pretzles. Last night I wast hunting a snack and remembered the jar of Nutella I had seen in the cabinent a few days prior and decided to have it and some pretzles. It was supposed to have been sold by December 2006, so it doesn't have as long a shelf life as most food products we have in this country (I suspect peanut butter would keep for a decade or more if it wasn't recalled). It just tasted stale. Almost flavourless but with a slight hint of cardboard.

Today I am exausted and I am not sure why. Oh well...

Our counterpoint class this morning consisted of Dr. Curry telling us about the baroque music recital he is playing continuo for tomorrow night with Dr. Wyatt's son and daughter-in-law and a couple of violins from New York. Should be a good concert. One of the students asked him what tuning he is using for the harpsicord so he went off a while on a thing about the various temprements and such, of which I only understood a tiny little bit but was enjoying anyway.

He told how he had spent time tuning his harpsicord for this one concert and then found out the players used a different temperment than he had tuned it to so while they got lunch he got the book he'd gotten from the library that happened to have all the ins and outs of setting up the one they were using and tuned his harpsicord to it.

I am very much hoping that Becca and Mike want to and can come tomorrow night so I have some help with the extra trip to Columbia, and also because I know it will be fun.
