Heh, it's hard to sit in a porch swing (not on a porch, oddly enough) and type when the dog who has made herself at home next to you wants to cuddle. She didn't brave the swing for long, though.
I'm outside and I'm online. How freaking cool is that? Yes, it's very freaking cool.
The weather is currently: pefect. It's about 62 degrees with clear, blue skys and a nice, warming sun and a gentle beeze. The birds and bugs are singing and someone is... Chopping up a house or something. I'm not sure what all the hacking on wood noises are behind us.
Work was good today with one exception that I will get to later. Business is picking up and it's more bearable when it's busier. Also I'm having fun with the baking stuff. The annoyance? I drove across town 30 minutes to downtown augusta to pick up a tank of CO2/N2O mix for our whipped cream and when I got it back to the shop (1 hour, round trip) it wasn't full. So I had to make the whole one hour trip again. Stupid welding supply people. And when I got the the place again the guy picked it up and said, "It's got product in it." And I said, "Yes, but it's not even half full..." Someone would be upset indeed if I gave them a half-cup of coffee and when they complained told them, "There's coffee there, see?" Jerks.
Anyay, the weather and my ability to enjoy it while online makes up for it.
I also have a wonderful ginger ale from the Athens, GA based Red Rock cola company. Well, I guess it's Athens BORN, since it's based in Indiana these days. It's good stuff though. Even better than their cola.
Not, I must add, as good as Blenheim ginger ale, though.
I made a post at the end of last week wherein I described my use of a Saturday off work to maintain my car and paint some rust spots on it with paint that almost matches the paint on the hood (which doesn't match the paint on the bumper, which doesn't match the paint on the rest of the car), my eating of sushi, and my drinking of coffee. But, alas, my web browser ate it. I also described a dream I had about Mike Springstead and I making a trip to New Orleans and pretty much being allowed to go wherever we wanted except onto the seminary campus.
Thus far this week I have worked and not worked and rehearsed for Saturday's performance. Tonight I have handbell and choir rehearsal at church, tomorrow morning I work again, Friday we have off and our rehearsal was cancled so I have all day to do whatever I feel like, and Saturday will be filled with rehearsing and performing. If you're free Saturday night at 7:30pm and just happen to be in the Augusta, GA area come by Sacred Heart and see the performance!
And now I sit in the cool "spring" air with the warm sun on me and my dog laying in the grass nearby, enjoying being outside. Enjoying it except for the rather large fly that keeps buzzing me and the roach I just saw crawling through the grass. Gotta love the South.
