Well, back into the swing of things, eh? About a month or so ago my sister made a decision to make me and Melissa trainers for new people, but since it's evolved into more just me bein a trainer. So far our new recruits are doing a wonderful job, learning quick, and striving for perfection. I believe they will make good baristas.

Rebekah just needs to get her latte foam down better. I'm so picky about my steamed milk, eh.

Roasting is going well, too, I just wish that they'd stop messing with blending beans. I love single origins, and I havn't been too happy with any of the results they've gotten yet.

I've become such a coffee snob, haven't I? But then, I tend to be snobbish about anything I'm interested in.

I have two projects going on in the back of my head right now, both involve wood work. One is a bench that my sister has requested for her house. It'll be a simple and very rustic thing. She asked if I was going to paint it to look like wood. The other is a sort of addition for the computer desk here, so I can put the other monitor I now have on it. It'll go in front of where I sit (I have a habit of sitting next to my desks, I need a big U shaped desk, really, eh.). I only half have figured out how that one will come together. Actually I've only half figured out either of them...

And there was something else I was going to post but I so can't remember what it was... Blast, I hate when that happens.

Oh, I remember now. I sort of posted about it on the cafe's culture forum. I was listening to a random burned CD I made a few years ago and hadn't really labled as anything the other day and Magdallan came on, I had almost forgotten about this incarnation of Chaos is the Poetry. Some of you may have heard them before, most probably haven't heard of them. Many of you may not even know who Chaos is the Poetry is. That's not so much the point of this post, though, so I'll leave that for another time.

The point of this? I have this thing where I like to keep bizar, odd, or ecclectic recordings near me in the car so that I can bombard unsuspecting passengers with them when I feel the need to. This is probably why being a music history teacher has such appeal to me, I'd be able to bring in obscure recordings and force a classroom full of impressionable young students to listen to them.
