So, I got up this morning and got ready for work like normal (on a day I open), locked the dog on the porch (she whines and whimpers without end if I let her wander the house and she can't get into every room, including my grandmother's bedroom, and this wakes up my grandmother. She hasn't complained about Goldie waking her up, but she hasn't complained about me locking goldie on the porch, either), drove to work only to find my sister there. Yep, turns out I was never on the schedule for today. It might seem agrivating that I went through all of this for naught, but to me it's a bonus day off! Rock on!
In other news, my parents have found a house! It's a victorian in an older part of town (obviously, since it's victorian) they are getting for $75k. It's in good condition (apparently they built things much better back then) and about 10 years ago all the electric was re-done and it had central air and heat installed. The guy is leaving the dining room and living room furniture, stove (gas), fridge, and washer/dryer and has just gotten it painted.
Sweet action.
