So today I got off work at 3 and called Dr. Wyatt and found out that to start in the spring I would have to change my application status to non-degree for the semester which would enable me to take 6-12 hours for the Spring and since I would already be enrolled in school I would get preference over incoming students in the fall for any assistantships that open up.
I figure with a part-time schedule like that I could work, perhaps at R. Gabriel's, until the fall when I'd start full-time.
My mom also mentioned to me someone we know who is looking for work in the Augusta area so he and his wife can move back here and that he would possibly be a good fit for my position at Allegra so when I called Larry to ask off for Monday so I can drive to Columbia and do a vocal audition for Dr. Wyatt I also let him know that I would most likely be gone by the middle of January and mentioned Will to him.
So Monday morning at 10am I will be in Columbia doing some sight-singing, vocalises, and the like. He said conducting tapes are good but sometimes someone can conduct well and not be able to sing in an ensemble which sort of throws it all off for being a choral conductor. I'm confidant I'll do fine on this one since I have had 10 years of vocal training, sang in the all state youth choir in Louisiana all highschool and was in the 12 voice ensemble for that 3 of those years, college choir and operas, augusta choral society, three operas, and the church choir. :)

Graduate school update:
I called Monday to find out what the status of my application was and she told me they were just waiting to get the Video back from Dr. Wyatt and that she would find out the status of that and e-mail me. Of course I didn't really expect an e-mail knowing how things get in music departments at Christmas time but I figured I'd call back in a day or two and check again.
Today I got off work a half-hour early (it slows down near Christmas) and did just that. She told me that they had, indeed, gotten the video back from Dr. Wyatt and that I had passed that audition and they needed me to come in for a live audition, that she had sent a letter off today with that information.
Just now got done leaving a voice mail and firing off an e-mail to Dr. Wyatt in hopes to get it lined up before the letter comes since they will not be around after the end of the week and I'd like to know how sure this thing is so I can tell my boss that I won't be working after the second week of January.
