My little sisters made the oddest cake today. It's a "Hamburger and french fries" cake. They got the recipe off of the Zoom website (Zoom is a kids show on PBS). They modified it a little.

The came is three round layers. One yellow, one chocolate, and another yellow. They are iced between with white icing (mayo) and are supposed to have red and yellow icing as well. They yellow icing didn't show up and the red icing mom had was actually orange icing mislabled. They tried to make it red but the ammount of food colouring they used changed the flavour. So we were left without ketchup which is fine by me as I dislike ketchup. You were supposed to dye coconut green and sprinkel it between the middle and top layers but the coconut mom bought was brown so she decided against using it. On top are sprinkled some rice crispies as those sesamie seeds.

The fries are made with a single layer square cake cut into pieces. They are supposed to have red icing swirled over them like ketchup, but they didn't have red as I said above, so they used bright pink.

The hamburger is very effective looking, and would be moreso with the missing things...

Oh, you're supposed to smash green jelly beans and use as "pickles".

So I'm eating a slice of burger right now.
