Changes are afoot! Or have already happened.

I didn't end up seeing the big band music Thursday night as I thought I was pressed for time with our impending trip and my aunt asked me to help her set up a wireless network for her. So, I helped her out instead of going to the concert and I got a copy of Riven and a scanner out of the deal, along with a check for $50. My aunt's house is fun to visit because she often gives you things that she has bought but didn't really need or like that much but are still cool things. So I've wasted some hours playing Riven. It's fun, even though it's like six years old!

But then, ya know how I was pressed for time with the trip coming up? Yeah, the trip that was supposed to happen today. It didn't happen today. But that's ok. Becca finaly got in touch with Fer to ask about our schedule change and she won't be in town until Wednesday. Which means that we had today to recover from the party yesterday.

The party, it went well even though it was hellishly hot outside. One of the groups that played had come in from Nashville to play at a church today and they had some sound equipment they graciously let us use, as well as helping with sound. They were cool guys and Becca and I went to their concert tonight in support of their coolness. Yesterday is over and that is good. I have a strange 2" circle sunburn on my forehead though.

Today was church, which was good, I'd missed choir.

So our trip as it stands now: Tomorrow we trek to Columbus, MS and will stay with the Mike of Springstead, we won't have to leave till after noon!!! Tuesday we traverse the miles from there to the Billy Guardian (who hosts this site)'s town in AR where we will stay with his Audra for the night. Wednesday we'll get to see Billy some and then make our way up to Bolivar to stay with Fer. Saturday our plan is to visit the family 007 in OK, and then Sunday we'll travel to Jackson, MS where we will stop at Rae's place for the night and then Monday continue in to Augusta.

So I get home from the concert tonight and my brake lights won't go off! I've had this problem twice now. Once in my '86 Honda it was this silly plastic nub they put on the brake pedal that hits the switch to turn off the lights (they are on as default) that broke off which we replaced with a nut and bolt (skot had the same problem with his Nissan truck once, same fix) and the other time was in this car ('90 Honda Accord) when the actual switch broke and I couldn't even get the car into gear because of the shift lock. Since I could get it in gear I knew which problem it was, took me about 15 minutes to find a bolt in the basement, get a light, and fix it. Yay for easy to fix!

Bye now!
