Second day of school. Went to bed last night with warnings of frozen roads and sleet and freezing rain (is there a difference?) and school delays. I woke up at 7 and called the number I found on the school's website and they said school was delayed until 10am so I slept more.

I woke up later than I intended and had to rush. Apparently my grandmother got up at 5:20 and listened to the weather and left me some sort of note but as bad as her handwriting is (says the kettle) it is far, far worse at 5:20am. She was very worried about me driving today, whatever.

Got to the campus with 15 minutes to spare but ended up being 20 minutes late for grad vocal ensemble because I could not find a place to park. I was planning on using a meter until after choir just for the speed of it but there wasn't one open. I ended up find a gravel lot out a few blocks behind the music building and then loading up with my various packs and treking about 4 blocks to the music building in freezing, misty weather. At least it wasn't actually raining.

GVE and choir went well, and I wasn't even that out of breath by the time I got to the rehearsal room. Of course it did help that coming into the music building from the backside you come in at the basement level and that is the same level the choir room is so there were no stairs to climb whilst loaded down with my worldly possessions. (My backpack with four binders, a planner, a folder of papers, and a textbook; Laptop in it's case (soft-side messanger bag style); water bottle (with it's own little jacket to keep it cold and make it easier to carry); and lunch (in a soft-sided cooler) and a golf umbrella. I really don't know why i bothered with the umbrella because even if it were raining I'd have a hard time carrying everything else and using it at the same time.)

So, I didn't have one class this morning and have had my choirs. I ate lunch and wandered the halls a while, explored the music library for a while (20 minutes, and that was pushing it as for exploration) and now I'm utilizing the wireless network I found inside the music building.

I must go very soon and move my car as the gravel lot five miles away needs to be cleared out by 5pm for an event (by the looks of the trucks around the civic center thingy I think the event is the circus).

In 40 minutes my other class meets then I can go home!
